Samuel Richard Powell

Mr. Samuel Richard Powell, 64, of 154 Emery Lane, Clinton, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 03, 2024, at the Elizabethtown Nursing Center in Elizabethtown, NC.

Samuel was born October 10, 1959, in Sampson County, to the late Gerald F. Powell and his wife, Roberta Lou Brown Powell. Samuel worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the NC Department of Transportation.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 09, 2024, at Garland Baptist Church, 55 West 2nd St., Garland. Reverend Ed Rouse will be officiating the service.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Connie L. Powell, two sons: Sam Powell of Clinton, and Justin Powell of Clinton, two brothers: Ronnie Powell (Miranda) of Clinton, and Phillip Powell of Rose Hill, three sisters: Sharon Brown of Garland, Denise Hines (James) of Garland, Jackie Merritt (Joey) of Waycross, and one beloved granddaughter: Lilly Powell of Clinton.
