Silas "Pete" Egbert Howell, Jr.

Silas Egbert (Pete) Howell, Jr., 90, 3091 Stedman Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, NC passed away Wednesday, April 1, at his home.

Mr. Howell is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Johnson Howell of the home; his son, Paul Howell (Samantha) of Clinton; one grandson, Austin Howell (Gracie) of Clinton; one brother, John Howell of Clinton; and one sister, Bettie Arthur of Clinton; two sisters-in-law, Doris Johnson Smith of Graham and Marilyn Johnson Robinson of Elizabethtown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Howell, Sr. and Hattie Howell of Garland; his grandson, Zachary Howell; and his sister, Marceline Howell Herring.

Mr. Howell served his country in the US Navy as a SM3 Petty Officer.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carolina Heart Home Care and Liberty Home Care Hospice for their care and would also like to thank their wonderful neighbors, Donnie and Barbara Beal, who have stood by them during his illness.
