William Ralph Evans

William Ralph Evans, a cherished husband, father, and educator, passed away on April 2, 2025, at his residence in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Born on August 19, 1945, in Wayne County, North Carolina, Ralph embraced life with a passion for his faith, his family, and teaching.

A proud holder of a Master’s Degree, Ralph dedicated his career to enriching the lives of countless students within the public school system. His impact was felt not only in the classroom but throughout the community where he inspired both students and colleagues alike.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Hilda M. Evans, who stood by his side throughout their 57 years together. He shared a deep bond with his son, Jeremy Evans, of Elizabethtown, NC, and his sister, Paula King, of Richlands, NC. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren, Nicholas Evans and his wife Pembe of Elizabethtown, NC, and Ivey Evans of Elizabethtown, NC, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Liam Evans, Salem Evans, and Adnan Theodore Evans.

Ralph is preceded in death by his daughter Alisha Gayle Evans, and his parents Willie and Mabel Evans. His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering love, kindness, and commitment to service.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at White Lake Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at White Lake Baptist Church.
