Addie (Abrams) Norris

Mrs. Addie A. Norris, 99, of Garland passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at The Gardens of Roseboro.

Addie was born November 16, 1922, in Pender County to the late George Thomas & Georgianna Abrams. She is preceded in death by her first husband: Willie Martin Bordeaux; second husband: George Norris, four sisters: Lula; Geneva; Lucy; Emma, and one brother: Thomas. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Garland Baptist Church, 55 W. 2nd St., Garland. Interment to follow the service at Garland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:50 PM prior to the service at the church. Officiating the service will be Reverend Ed Rouse and Reverend David Bays.

Addie leaves to cherish her memory her stepson: George “Wootie” Norris Sr. and wife Sandy of Garland, stepdaughter: Mary Anne Johnson and husband Anthony of Garland, four step-grandchildren: Scarlet Norris of Roseboro; Wootie Norris Jr. and wife Jennifer of Wilmington; Caleb Johnson and wife Hailey of Garland; Gabrielle Johnson and husband Taylor of Clinton, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Garland Baptist Church, PO Box 367, Garland, NC 28441.
