Alice Cain Smith

Mrs. Alice Cain Smith, 78, of 361 Smith Mill Pond Rd. Garland, NC passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Mrs. Smith was born August 31, 1943, in Sampson Co. the daughter of the late Jim and Louise Cain.  She was preceded in death by her husband Amos Smith, two sons, Charles and Arnold, brother, Jimmy Cain, sister Debbie Pait. 

Mrs. Smith is survived by daughter Melinda Weissinger and husband Herb of Elizabethtown, two sisters Fran Burton (Cary) of Hampstead, Sue Cole of Garland, one brother, Johnny Cain (Judy Summerlin) of Garland, four grandsons Ray Smith (Joy) of Kelly, Jason Weissinger of Elizabethtown, Eric Weissinger of Newport and Brett Weissinger (Ruth) of Lillington, great-children Hayden Smith, Brooke Smith, Kaycee Smith, and Addilyn Smith as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 01, 2022, at the Smith Cemetery, Mote Rd., Garland, NC by the Reverend Ralph Carter Jr., and Reverend Barry Helms.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, immediately after the service at Beards Chapel Fellowship Hall, and other times at the residence.
