Catherine Marlene (Thomas) Autry

Ms. Catherine M. Autry, 82, of 9507 US Hwy 701 N., Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Catherine was born March 20, 1939, in Bladen County to the late Willie Thomas and Sophia Powell Thomas. She is preceded in death by two children: Dwight Autry; Clarence Autry, four siblings: Virginia Autry; Jerlene Melvin; Willie Mae Autry; and Johnnie Elbert Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 01, 2021, at St. Peters AME Zion Church, 280 Barnes Loop Road, Elizabethtown, NC. Interment to follow at Marshburn Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Rev. Pamela Faison.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Craig Autry of Elizabethtown, NC; Prentice Autry (Felicia) of St. Louis, MO; Cleo Brian Autry (Yvetta Sholanda) of Fayetteville, NC, twelve grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
