David Council Obituary

Mr. David Council, 99, of 571 Airport Rd. Garland, NC passed away on June 10, 2020 at N.C. State Veterans Home in Fayetteville, NC.

Mr. Council was born December 12, 1920 in Sampson County. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army having served in WWII. Mr. Council is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Jean Council, parents; David Greene and Ada Treadwell, one son; David Council, Jr., one grandson; Trevon Moore and three sisters Rosie Coston, Margaret Richardson, Annie Bell Brown.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Garland Community Cemetery.

Mr. Council is survived by two sons; Dexter Council (Kimberly) of Garland and Jeffery Council (Kathy) of Willard, two daughters; Rosa Carroll (Howard) of Garland, Margie Highsmith (Lucian) of Harrells, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
