Doris Holland Rich

Doris Holland Rich, 94 of 12007 Old Mintz Highway Garland, NC died Friday, June 17, 2022, after a prolonged illness.  Doris and her twin, Dorothy were born, on July 25, 1927.  These twins were two of 10 children born to Elliott and Mollie Holland of Clinton, NC.  She was married to Harold C. Rich, Sr. of Garland on January 28, 1950.  She is survived by her 3 daughters, Michelle Rich Goode and husband, Lloyd, of Bedford, VA, Frances Louise Rich of Garland, and Pamela Rich Lineberry and husband, Larry, of Burgaw, NC; 3 grandchildren, Tripp Lineberry and wife, Katie, of Raleigh and Harrells, NC, Jessica Lineberry Woelk and her husband, Daniel, of Burgaw, and Amy Lineberry Jaziri and husband, Kammel, of Wilmington and one brother, Elliott Ray Holland of Wilmington, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Harold C. Rich, Jr.  

 The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who gave excellent care to Mama “Dot” and especially the Hospice care she received from 3HC. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Garland Baptist Church at 55 W 2nd Street Garland, NC on Sunday, June 19at 2022, at 2:00 PM.  Visitation will follow the service at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Garland Baptist Church 55 W. 2nd Street, Garland, NC 28441; or the Miriam Lamb Memorial Library, 144 S. Church Avenue, Garland, NC 28441
