Eunice Blanche (Barnes) Mote

Mrs. Eunice Barnes Mote, 96, of 2465 Mote Rd., Harrells, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.

Mrs. Mote was born October 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Cleveland Barnes and Mattie Tatum Barnes.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry R. Mote, daughter: Linda Faye Mote, four sisters: Corena Mote; Eiffie Barnes; Letha Mote; Marie Pearson, and five brothers: Grover Barnes; Weston Barnes; Albert Barnes; Floyd Barnes; and Austin Barnes.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 08, 2022, at Friendship Holiness Church, Mote Road, Harrells, with Reverend Jimmy Tatum officating.  Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Eunice leaves to cherish her memory four beloved daughters: Vivian M. Thomas (Dean) of Harrells; Mary Johnson of Harrells; Martha Hawes (Dennis) of Elizabethtown; Kathleen Williams (Ray) of Harrells, and one son: Truman Mote (Lizzie) of Harrells, 6 grandchildren: Robert Mote (Amy); Jennifer Armatys; Greg Merritt (Jane); Tammy Merritt; Dr. Richard Thomas; Amy Davis (James), 5 great-grandchildren: Bailey Cooke; Vivi Ann Johnson; Willa Grace Johnson; Robert Johnson; Ben Merritt; and Victoria Armatys.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 08, 2022, prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM, at the church.
