Ferris Jean (Simmons) Newkirk

Mrs. Ferris Jean Newkirk 72 of 3336 Norris Rd. Garland died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond A. Simmons & Estelle Boone Simmons, two sisters, Madelene Brown and Vickie Jackson.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Garland Pentecostal Holiness Church, by the Reverend Tony Moore & Reverend Larry Smith.  Burial will follow in the Carter cemetery.

Mrs. Newkirk is survived by her husband, James Ray Newkirk, daughter Kathy N. Moore (Tony) of Turkey, son, Tommy R. Newkirk (Melissa) of Garland, sister, Ruth Faircloth of Garland, grandchildren, Joshua Moore (Brandi) of Turkey, Sara M. Carter (Berklin) of Turkey, Marianne Moore of Turkey, Sabrina Newkirk, Darren Newkirk both of Garland, great-grandchild Case James Carter.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 6:30P.M.-8:30P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Garland Pentecostal Holiness Church 2581 Norris Rd., Garland, NC 28441.
