George Max Benton

Mr. George Max Benton 91 of 662 County Line Rd. Roseboro, NC, died Tuesday, September 04, 2018 at Southwood Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.

Mr. Benton was born August 08, 1927 in Covington Co., Alabama the son of the late Willian D. Benton & Mary Ida Sellars Benton.  He was Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Christine Benton.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC, with military honors.  Mr. Ronnie Blackburn will be officiating.

Mr. Benton is survived by several nieces & nephews.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 1:00P.M.-5:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.
