Mrs. Geraldine Hooks Butler Faison, 78, of 469 Ezzell Road, Clinton, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Geraldine Hooks Butler Faison was born November 20, 1941 in Sampson County. Mrs. Geraldine Hooks Butler Faison is preceded in death by her parents; Jacob and Lena Hooks, two brothers; Jimmy and Donnie Hooks. Mrs. Geraldine Hooks Butler Faison retired from the Sampson County School system. Mrs. Geraldine Hooks Butler Faison was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Harrells, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrells, NC.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories her husband; James Faison of the home, three daughters; Lena (Walker) Devane of Salemburg, NC, Naomi (Jessie) Henry of Clinton, NC, and Janice (Lonnie) Chestnutt of Harrells, NC, one son; Wayne Chestnutt, three sisters; Annie Ruth (Roy) William of Spring Lake, NC, Velma (James Lee) Johnson of Elizabethtown, NC and Selma (Douglas) Richardson of Elizabethtown, NC, one brother; Freddie (Dorothy) Hooks of Goldsboro, NC, bonus children; Angie Underwood and James Murphy, best friends; Mary Vann of Miami, FL and Nancy Kerr of Harrells, NC, 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, NC.
