Ms. Hattie Willis Gilliard, 82, of 139 McLean Rd., passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.
Ms. Gilliard was born August 30, 1937 in Bladen County NC to the late Troy Herring and Bessie Cromartie. She is preceded in death by her sister; Gracie Murdock and her brother; Nelson Willis.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Marshburn Cemetery in White Lake, NC.
Ms. Gilliard leaves to cherish two daughters; Wilhelmina Gilliard of Frederick, MD, Gracie Gilliard of Raleigh, NC, three sons; Thomas Gilliard (Lizzie) of Elizabethtown, NC, Sherman Gilliard (Peggy) of Lumberton, NC, Stephen Gilliard (Conza) of Raleigh, NC, one sister; Mary Tatum of Harrells, NC, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
