Obituary

Mr. James Palmer Johnson, 79, of 2729 Johnsontown Rd., passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Bladen in Elizabethtown, NC.

Mr. Johnson was born September 27, 1942, in Bladen Co., NC to the late James Henry Palmer Johnson and Julia Autry Johnson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Johnson and Eugene Johnson.  He was a retired logger.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Autry Cemetery, Johnsontown Rd., Elizabethtown, NC, by the Revered Dallas Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by a step-son, William C. Murphy (Yolanda) of Cary, NC, two sisters, Doris Powell of Elizabethtown, and Ollie Powell (Harry) of Elizabethtown, two brothers, Theodore Johnson (Patricia) of Elizabethtown, and Jimmy Johnson of Elizabethtown, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The public viewing will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, from  9:00 A.M.-to 11:00 AM at Carter Funeral Home before the service.
