James Lonnie Davis

Mr. James Lonnie Davis, 75, of 309 Kenneth Carter Rd., Clinton, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

James was born September 05, 1947, in New Hanover County to the late Lonnie and Ruth Davis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-sister: Virginia McKeithin. James enjoyed a long career as a Supervisor with Cape Craft Furniture Company.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 08, 2022, at Davis Cemetery, Hwy 242 N., Elizabethtown, NC. Reverend Ray Carter will be presiding over the service.

James leaves to cherish his memory one son: James Corey Davis and wife Maribel of Newton Grove, one brother: Alex Harris of Elizabethtown, two sisters: Barbara Cain; and Carolyn Davis both of Elizabethtown, and three grandchildren: Grayson Davis; Cruz Davis; and Isla Davis.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the cemetery from 2:00-2:45 PM.
