Joshua "Josh" Ingram

Mr. Joshua Ingram, 89, of 288 Nathan Dudley Road, Clinton, passed away on Sunday, November 05, 2023, at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

Joshua “Josh” Ingram was born November 8, 1934 to the late Walter and Pauline Ingram in Duplin County, North Carolina.

Josh received his early education in North Carolina. After graduating from Garland High School he moved to New Jersey where he enjoyed a long career with International Longshoreman in Port Newark until his retirement in 1982.

Josh was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.

Josh and his wife Lois moved back to Garland in 1989 where he raised horses for several years. Josh was a happy-go-lucky person. He loved his family and friends and would do anything to help anyone in need.

Josh was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Moore Ingram; five brothers, Walter Ingram, Melvin Ingram, Lacey Ingram, David Ingram and Ernest Caraway and one sister, Annie Grace Twitty. Josh leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Lois Ingram; three sisters, Geraldine Day, Odessa Williams and Paula Griffin; Stepdaughter, Gwen M. Koonce; Sister-in-Laws, Bertha  Ingram, Louise Ingram, Dorothy Anderson, Mamie Thomas, Carla M. Boatwright Watson and Ann Marie Boatwrigh; One Brother-in-Law, Mark H. Boatwrigh;t six Godchildren, Fonda Dortch-Taylor, Angie Underwood, Pamela Salters, Nedrea Morgan, Foy Edward Thomas III and Keith Salters; a special nephew, Jamain Ingram and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland. Reverend Dr. Louis Hackett will be officiating the service.

A viewing will be held at 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland.
