Lillie Doris (Murphy) Shaw McKoy

Mrs. Lillie Doris (Murphy) Shaw McKoy, 57, of 12200 NC Hwy 41 W., Bladenboro, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Lillie was born May 07, 1965, in Sampson County to the late Willie Paul Murphy and wife Allie Mae (Pridgen) Murphy. In addition to her parents, Lillie is preceded in death by two sisters: Willie Mae Murphy; and Ella Jane Murphy. Lillie enjoyed serving her community and was a CNA in the Health Care Industry for many years.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 4047 NC Hwy 242 S., Elizabethtown. Interment to follow in the Murphy Cemetery, Harrells. The Reverend Dr. Louie Boykin will be officiating the service.

Lillie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband: Curtis McKoy of the home, two daughters: Vanessa Backett of Clarkton; Rashansa McKoy of Fayetteville, two grandchildren: Tylik McCall of Bladenboro; Ariana Gore of Bladenboro, four sisters: Diane P. Murphy of Harrells; Gail Highsmith of Harrells; Geneva “Eva” McNeil of Garland;  Letha Ree Murphy of Garland, and one aunt: Lillie J. Thomas of Garland.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
