Lorenzo Mario Imes

Mr. Lorenzo Mario Imes, 40, of Vernon Hill, Virginia, formerly of Ivanhoe, NC passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, in Virginia.

Lorenzo was born on January 22, 1981, in Fulton County, Atlanta Georgia to Arthur and Sandra Imes. Lorenzo worked in the Manufacturing Industry and he loved his job at Nestle Co.

To know Lorenzo is to love him, he had a very kind sweet spirit.  He is preceded in death by his mother: Sandra Dunham Imes, grandfather: Elbert Imes, and Charlie Dunham, grandmother Marie Dunham and a nephew David Tyle’k Atkins.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memory his father: Arthur Imes of Ivanhoe, NC, and the only mother that he has ever known Lillian Imes, two sisters: April Imes Lumpkin, Chiquiata Imes Dennis and husband Alvin of Greensboro, NC, and three brothers,  Anthony Imes of Teachey, NC., John Lumpkin Sr of Grovetown, Ga, and Bon-Jerald Tyjie Atkinson.  He had special friends/cousin named Stanley Hart of Atlanta, Ga, and Willie Peterson of Harrells, NC, one nephew Titus “TJ” Atkinson, and four nieces Amaiah McKoy, Karsyn Izzard, Nycinta Imes, and Chelsea Lumpkin.  A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM/Noon, Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Jumpin Run Cemetery in Ivanhoe, NC. The Reverend Willie Imes will be officiating the service.
