Mary Knowles Obituary
Mrs. Mary Knowles, 84, of 102 Royal Lane Apt. 202, Clinton, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
Mary was born July 27, 1937, in Bladen County to the late: Willie Darius Thomas and wife Lucy Mote Thomas. She is preceded in death by her husband: Wayne Knowles, four brothers: William Thomas; Eugene Thomas; George “Buddy” Thomas; Ottis Thomas and one sister: Christine T. Smith. Mrs. Knowles worked for many years at the Garland Shirt Factory on the assembly line.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. The Reverend Robbie Gilbert will be officiating the service.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Sherry K. Grady of Greenville; Amanda K. Tyndall of Clinton, and one son: Terry W. Knowles of Clinton.
