Matilda Long Obituary

Mrs. Matilda G. Long, 78, of 804 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown, formerly of Harrells, passed away Wednesday, October 06, 2021, at Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Matilda was born November 17, 1942, in West Virginia to the late Lonnie and Matilda Gilmore. She worked for many years in the private health care field.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021, at Holmes Hill Cemetery in Kelly. Reverend Jim Woodruff will be officiating the service.

Matilda leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband: Larry Long, daughter: Lisa Long and husband Elroy of Garland, three sons: Charles Barnes of Garland; Ray Barnes of Garland; Mitchell Barnes of Garland, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
