Millard Jernigan Obituary
Mr. Millard Gerald Jernigan, 74, of 1617 Bull Street, Garland, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville.
Millard was born on April 15, 1948, in Bladen County to the late Lacy and Florence Jernigan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Earl Jernigan; Jerry Jernigan; and Glenn Jernigan, and three sisters: Janice Smith; Patricia Peterson; and Bonnie Bivens. Millard worked for many years in the Timber Industry as a Logger.
Funeral services have been postponed until further notice, due to illness in the family.
Millard leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Vivian Jernigan of the home; one daughter: Heather Watts and husband Wayne of Garland, two sons: Eric Jernigan and wife Linda of Garland; Jason Jernigan and wife Marci of Roseboro, one brother: Billy Jernigan and wife Diane of Garland, and five grandchildren: Cassidy Watts; Landon Watts; Zoey Jernigan; Saydi Jernigan; and Waylon Jernigan. He loved his grandchildren who called him “Papa”.
