Thurl "Mickey" Gordon Morris

Mr. Thurl “Mickey” Gordon Morris, 81, of 990 Parkersburg Road, Garland, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Morris was born July 19, 1941, in Clay County, West Virginia the son of the late Clarence Morris and Pansy Morris. He was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Drennen.   Mr. Morris was the owner & operator of a service station in Garland for about 25 years.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 04, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home by the Reverend Jim Woodruff.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Edna “Babe Ruth” Morris, one daughter, Kelly Povazsay and husband Vincent of Roseboro, Grandson, Lynn Povazsay of Raleigh, granddaughter, Emily Piercy and Husband Chase of Clinton, great-granddaughter, Marcie Piercy, and a host of nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
