Willie James Brown Jr.

Mr. Willie James Brown, Jr.  65, of 915 Allen Road Apt. C-10, of Greenville, NC died Saturday, September 05, 2020 unexpectedly at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Willie was formerly raised in Roseboro, NC.

Mr. Brown was born July 30, 1955 in Horry County, SC to the late Willie James Brown Sr. and Lillian Graham Brown.

Willie loved traveling, writing poetry, researching and educating himself on current events. After leaving the Roseboro community, he later moved to Greenville, NC where he worked at Pitt Community College for over 20 years, until retirement. After retirement, Willie stayed connected with his friends and family, always leaving them with valuable information.

Willie was proceeded in death by two sisters, Edna Brown of Virginia Beach, Va. and Patricia Brown of Greenville, NC and a brother, Curtis Brown of Lakeland, Fl.

 Mr. Brown leaves to cherish, his memories four sisters; Princess Brown Francis of Newark, NJ, Brenda Robinson of New Windsor, NY; Donita Sug Brown of Irvington, NJ and Katina Singleton of Loris, SC and one brother; Rodney Singleton of Loris, SC. He also leaves a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at Roseboro-Snow Hill Cemetery,697 Marion-Amos Road in Roseboro, NC on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

Service will be live-streamed via Carter Funeral Home Facebook page.
