Willie "Bozzie" James Smith Jr.

Mr. Willie “Bozzie” James Smith, Jr., 59, of 455 Gibbs Road, Garland, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville.

Mr. Smith was born April 11, 1960 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late Willie James Smith Sr. and Hiawatha Powell Smith. He was preceded in death by  one brother, Normal Smith, and one sister Penelope Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Stephens AME Zion Church, 51 East. 3rd St., Garland, NC.  Burial will follow in the Garland Community Cemetery.

Mr. Smith is survived by his three children, Zenobia Smith of Wilmington, Antonio McKoy of Garland, and Nasir Brinson of Newark, NJ, Sisters, Zenobia Smith Brack (Eddie) of Newark, NJ and Linda Smith of Newark, NJ, 8 grandchildren, Nasir, Antonio, Sa’Vayah, Areona, Ashanti, Kameron, Aryan and Aubree and his girlfriend of 18 years, Dorothy Faison.

A public viewing will be on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 1:00 P.M.-6:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.
