James "HAM" Willie Burden

Mr. James "HAM"  Willie Burden 81 of 218 Burden Rd. Tar Heel, NC, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Burden was October 05, 1934 in Bladen Co. the son of late Fable Burden & Lena White Burden.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Banks Burden, one brother, Fable Burden. Mr. Burden was a member of Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church and was a logger in his working years.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 06, 2016 at Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church 14743 NC Hwy. 87, Tar Heel, NC., by the Reverend John T. Morrison Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Burden is survived by one daughter,Sharon Jones of Elizabethtown, five sisters, Attealia Porter of Raleigh, Emma Shipman, Retha Riggans, Joann Burden, all of Tar Heel, Nona Williams of Duplin, one brother, Richard Burden of New York, 1 granddaughter, Chasity Jones of Raleigh, 2 great-grandchildren, Jalen, Samir, and a special friend, Carl 'BoBo" Cromartie.

A public viewing will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, February 05, 2016 at Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church in Tar Heel, NC
